TermiSafe

What to know about Termisafe

We use a highly concentrated treatment formulated with termiticide, insecticide, and fungicide properties, that is specifically designed for application during the crucial dried-in phase of construction, ensuring thorough coverage of all wooden surfaces. Upon application, it seamlessly permeates the wood, creating a long-lasting shield that endures for the entire lifespan of the wood. This renders the treated wood impervious to subterranean, drywood and dampwood termite activity; they are unable to consume, inhabit, or construct tunnels within it. Furthermore, the treatment doesn’t discriminate; it extends its protective capabilities to defend against wood decay, carpenter ants, wood boring beetles, and decay fungi fortifying the structural integrity of the wood for its life time.

As pretreatment specialist, our mission is to safeguard the structure at the onset which ensures immediate protection of the building allowing peace of mind and longterm security of one of your most biggest assets. Termites are masters at going undetected for years. During this time, they grow their colonies and continue to eat the structure 24/7. While other companies work to “spot control” the infestation once the problem is discovered, the damage that has already been spanning for years and is often times expensive to repair and retreatments only serve to control the problem - not eradicate it.

Termisafe pretreatment penetrates the wood at the dried-in phase (framing stage) and remains for the life of wood. This is the only stage when all framing members are visible and accessible. It is applied to all wood surfaces, concrete, plumbing penetrations, expansion joints and foundation penetrations. The solution fortifies the building where ants, beetles and termites cannot extract nutrition from its food and starve to death. Furthermore, they cannot develop a resistance to it. Subterranean termites will not attempt to eat it, and when trying to build a tube on treated wood, they begin to die off. Termites will sound an alarm to other colonies and they will abandon the structure.

30 Year Warranty Available

Termisafe can register the home for a 30 year limited warranty should the owner elect to participate and must be inspected annually to qualify. The limited warranty protects new construction homes, both the builder and homeowner and is the longest termite warranty in the industry. This protection covers the house from subterranean termite damage with a 2-foot band treatment. Additionally when the whole structure is treated, the warranty will cover the protection of all structural wood from:

  • Drywood and Dampwood Termites

  • Formosan Termites

  • Subterranean Termites

  • Mold and Wood Decay Fungi

  • Carpenter Ants and Wood Boring Beetles

Benefits For Builders

  • Crews do not need to leave the job site. Our eco-friendly solution allows all crews to continue working on the job site during our application which eliminates the need for added coordination between builder and subs. Unlike soil treatments where workers are required by law to leave during the application process until it is complete.

  • Rough construction compatibility. Treatment is capable with CPVC plumbing pipes and various plumbing fittings. It will not corrode or compromise any metal fasters, fittings or nail.

  • Air quality and toxicity. Homeowners and businesses can feel safe that unlike soil treatments that pump hundreds of gallons of pesticides into the soil, our pretreatment methods during the dried-in phase of construction simply treats the wood - is low odor, environmentally safe and features no VOCs.

  • Eliminates weather delays. While soils treatments must be applied to dry ground, our application is applied directly to the dried-in stage of construction structure where weather is not factor.

  • The Sustainable Green Solution. With the concern of soil treatments and other harmful chemicals seeping into water sources, our eco-friendly solutions can be used on lakeside and beach front homes where other soil treatments may be prohibited.

  • International building code. TermiSafe’s applied solution has been evaluated for use under the International Building Code and the International Residential Code. It meets the sill plate end-cut requirements set by building codes and the American Wood-Preservers’ Association (AWPA M4).

  • HUD approved. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) 99-A form allows wood treatments with EPA registered products as a primary termite treatment for new home construction.

  • Green building points. Builders can earn 1 point towards their LEED-certified home under Sustainable Sites: “Non-Toxic Pest Control”

Other Green Building Points

  • NAHB National Green Building Program™: 4-6 points

  • EarthCraft®: 2-6 points

We Treat Wood NOT Soil…. Here’s Why

Frankly put, we care about the environment. On average 200-300 gallons of chemicals are pumped into the soil around any given house that has been shown to permeate and contaminate rivers, lakes, coastal waters, and even drinking water. In a given year, over 250,000,000 gallons of harmful pesticides are pumped into residential soil in the U.S with retreatment every 5-10 years. Termisafe prides itself on being an environmentally friendly pest management company that deploys eco friendly products that already present itself in the ecosystems of your home or business. Our pretreatment methods when applied directly to the wood structures in new construction, additions, and large remodels penetrate deep into the porous wood fibers providing residual protection from subterranean and drywood termites along with other wood destroying organisms. Termisafe is applied in a single application for the lifespan of the structure and only uses 2-3 gallons of water during the treatment process. Our low toxicity wood preservative also has a low environmental impact and feature no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compound). For these reasons Termisafe can effectively apply the pretreatment methods in and around, homes, apartments, businesses, schools, hospitals, kennels, farm buildings, trailers, warehouses, non-food areas of supermarkets, restaurants and food processing plants.
